Dr. Carolyn Anderson is the owner and lead facilitator of "discover BRAVE". Carolyn had a private practice in Calgary for 25 years before joining the Mount Royal University Social Work faculty as an Associate Professor in 1998. She has an established and illustrious background in clinical and community development aimed at understanding and supporting the vulnerability, courage, worthiness, shame and resilience through her work with women-in-transition, the GLBT community and survivors of childhood trauma.
Carolyn’s passion for innovative and experiential teaching along with her therapeutic background inspired her to expand her work to include The Daring Way™, Rising Strong™ and Dare To Lead™ workshops based on the research by Dr. Brene Brown and launch her new company “discover BRAVE”. Carolyn offers presentations, workshops and retreats on a variety of Daring Way™, Rising Strong™and Dare To Lead™ concepts to the public as well as to business and non-profit organizations. She is currently in the process of developing a series these workshops as international travel retreats as one more way to challenge others to show up, be seen and live brave™.
Carolyn is a thoughtful and sought-after speaker and regularly presents her work at national and international conferences.
